UPCOMING WINES:

APRIL 6TH

Lune à Boire Blanc, Biodynamic, Famille Kreydenweiss, Bas – Rhin, Alsace, France NV

Easy to drink and unpretentious, fruity and mineral. In French, “Boire” means “to drink”. It is a wordplay to emphasize the fact that it is a wine to drink in good company. Dry wine. 2018 Reviews: “Salty yeast and fresh red-apple peel make for a nose that is both savory and fruity. The palate of this wine adds bright lemon freshness to this beautifully textured wine that still shimmers with yeasty funk. It has intensity and personality but above all pervasive, full-flavored freshness.” – 92pts, Wine Enthusiast

Lacryma Christi del Vesuvio Rosso, Mastroberardino, Vesuvio, Campania, Italy 2020

This ruby red wine with legendary origins made from Piedirosso grapes has a bouquet full of cherry and plum aromas, supported by spicy notes of pepper, clove and mineral nuances. On the palate the wine feels warm, juicy and well-structured with smooth fine tannins on the finnish.

APRIL 13TH

Merus Muller Thurgau, Tiefenbrunner, Alto Adige, Italy 2020

Lifted citrus blosom notes on a bright and appealing palate of lemon, apricot and peach fruit.

L’Appel Des Sereines, Francois Villard, Collines Rhodaniennes, Northern Rhone Valley, France 2019

A young vine Syrah from several villages Chavanay, Ardoix, Saint-Michel-sur-Rhône, and Verin, all with a decomposed granite soil. Twelve day maceration with twenty-five percent whole clusters in open-top wood tapered vats Followed by eleven months of aging, half in the vat and half in neutral barrels. A peppery and juicy Syrah.

APRIL 20TH

Lune à Boire Rouge, Biodynamic, Famille Kreydenweiss, Bas – Rhin, Alsace, France 2020

This is a gourmet Pinot Noir which reveals the intensity and the flavor of the fruit. This cuvée has a lovely mouth feel with a juicy finish. In French, “Boire” means “to drink”. It is a wordplay to emphasize the fact that it is a wine to drink in good company

Dalfarras Albarino, Victoria, Australia 2021

Lifted citrus blosom notes on a bright and appealing palate of lemon, apricot and peach fruit.

APRIL 27TH

Blanc de l’Oeuf, Biodynamic, Mas des Caprices, Languedoc, France 2020

Subtle blend of Grenache Blanc, Maccabeu and a touch of Muscat Grapes vinified and “brooded” in an egg-shaped bowl that gives the wine fruity, roundness and suppleness. This floral wine will delight palates on exotic cuisine, aperitif, grilled fish, summer salads.

Valpolicella “Terre di Castelnuovo”, Cantina di Castelnuovo del Garda,DOC Valpolicella, Veneto, Italy 2020

Ruby color wine with an intense bouquet of sour red fruits. On the palate it is velvety, with soft tannins and spicy notes

MAY 4TH

Gorka Izagirre, Bizkaiko Txakolina, Basque Country, Spain 2020

Intense aromas of apple and linden flowers on the nose are followed by well-integrated acidity, lively body and long spritzy finish on the palate.

Schatz Rosado, Organic, Sierras de Malaga, Andalusia, Spain 2020

Very aromatic on the nose with red fruits (strawberry, raspberry) and rose petals. On the palate it is fresh, intense and balanced by good acidity.

MAY 11TH

R Pinot Gris Pure, Organic, Weingut Seckinger, Palatinate, Rhineland, Germany 2020

Citrus notes of grapefruit and lemon with crisp acidity combine to give this effervescent Pinot Gris a punchy edge.

La Rosee Pineau d’Aunis, Domaine Jean-Francois Merieau, Touraine, Loire Valley, France 2020

Pale pink colour, with silvery tinge. This is the colour that is referred to as “œil de perdrix” or “partridge’s eye”. It is made with Pineau d’Aunis, an ancient local variety. Refreshing mouthful, supported by a round structure that will deliver white fruits flavours. The slightly spicy and white peppered finish is typical of this variety.

MAY 18TH

Mastro Campania Greco, Mastroberardino, Campania, Italy 2020

This straw yellow coloured wine has a fresh bouquet of pineapple, peach, citrus and thyme. On the palate creamy texture is balanced by acidity and zesty citrus flavours followed by quince.

Churton Natural State Pinot Noir, Organic, Marlborough, New Zealand 2020

An amazingly aromatic and floral nose. Complex musk rose and chamomile fragrances give way to soft red fruit, a hint of spice and earth tones. In the mouth it is soft and sinuous, with a lightness of touch that belies its depth and complexity. Silky mouthcoating tannins temper the long fruit-driven finish. This wine is the quintessential iron fist in a velvet glove.

MAY 25TH

50 Degree, Riesling, Schloss Johannisberg, Rheingau, Germany 2020

Made in the Trocken style, which has very low residual sweetness producing a dry, crisp style of white wine. 50 Degrees has a fresh taste with delicious fruity notes of peaches, green apple and citrus fruits and a long minerally finish. 2020 is a particularly good vintage.

Turmhof Lagrein, Tiefenbrunner, Alto Adige, Italy 2019

This Lagrein is known for its strong garnet-red color with violet reflexes. Its bouquet produces a tender, characteristic aroma that recalls violets and cherries, subtly underlined by its full, round and fruity taste. Fine-grained tannins and a pleasant acidity support the long finish of this native South Tyrolean wine.

JUNE 1ST

Messwein Rose, Niederösterreich QbA, Weingut Stift Goettweig, Austria 2020

Juicy, crisp, zesty and aromatic on the nose and on the palate.

Thronos Nemea, Athanasiou, Agiorgitiko, Organic, Nemea, Greece 2020

This Agiorgitiko is medium bodied, with well balanced acidity and ripe tannins. Fresh on the nose with aromas of blackberries, ripe strawberries and violets. Flavours of red fruits and white pepper show on the palate.
